In 2005 Byrd was asked to create posters for City Center Encores!, which stages short-run revivals of musicals not often revived.
The Apple Tree (2005) — Jerry Bock & Sheldon Harnick; three acts after Mark Twain, Bernard Shaw, and Jules Feiffer.
Sondheim’s Follies at Encores (2007) was Byrd’s third Follies poster; Poster Child notes it as the final Follies design he would make for the show.
No, No, Nanette (2008 season) and On the Town (2008, Bernstein’s 90th-birthday celebrations) complete the Encores set in the estate catalog.
