This poster, created for the 1969 performance of the rock opera Tommy by the Who at the Fillmore East, was completely inked by hand.
Byrd was always concerned that “Joshua Light Show” registered more than “The Who,” even though the type used for the band was larger.
Keep this Fillmore night distinct from the 1970 Metropolitan Opera House Tommy poster.
