Prince / 3rd Eye Girl poster — late rock commission named in Hollywood Reporter’s client list.
Hollywood Reporter lists Prince among Byrd’s rock subjects; the 2013 3rd Eye Girl sheet is the estate’s dated visual.
Prince, an ardent Jimi Hendrix fan, asked for a version of Byrd’s blue Hendrix poster for his April 23–24, 2013 shows with 3rdEyeGirl at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco — new colors, type and portrait on the 1968 armature. Byrd worked with art director Zak Wilson. The signed limited edition sold out; the estate ships signed open-edition prints.
